Sirok Castle
The most famous sight of the settlement is the Siroki Castle, a popular excursion site rising above the valley of the Tarna stream. The fortress, built in the Árpád era, overlooks the village from a height of nearly 300 meters.
The road leading to the ruins is steep, but the panoramic natural beauty compensates the hiker for the fatigue.
The monument, consisting of the lower castle and the upper castle, is an unmissable destination for those interested in historical relics.

The Friend and Nun Rocks (also known as the Idol Rocks)
The Barát and Apáca rocks offer a magnificent view from the top of the Siroki Castle. They can be approached from the saddle of the castle in a NE direction along the national blue sign. The two lonely rock towers are 6-8 meters high, and were formed from rhyolite tuff that spilled from the crater during volcanic activity. Their apt names were given by their locations, which refer to their natural shape.

Turkish table
Walking further from the Barát and Apáca rocks, you will find the Törökasztal. It may have got its name from its shape, as the flat stone resembles a table. According to legend, the Turks controlled the area from here during the Turkish rule. It is worth seeing, as the view is breathtaking.

Lake Nyírjes
Near Sirok, on the southeastern forested slope of Darnó Mountain, we can find a special natural attraction.
The lake, with its variable water level, is located in a few meters deep, non-flowing rhyolite tuff basin in a lush environment. Its special feature is the peat moss bog with rare peat moss species in the middle of the lake. All this is surrounded by an exceptional forest of chert and hornbeam-oak.
